Hatha Yoga Classes

6 Weeks // April 1 - May 6, 2025
*You are not required to attend the entire series. Drop-ins are welcome.

During this 6 weeks, we will take a deep dive into our hips, finding ways to create more ease in your movements, improve your mind-body connection, build strength and vitality, and reduce stress. My intention is to guide students to a more subtle, internal experience, to help people get out of their heads and connect with the core of their being, your own inner guidance. This class is great for beginners and intermediate students alike.

🌟 What to Expect: A balanced blend of traditional yoga postures, mindful breathing, and a short meditation.
🌟 What to Bring: Yoga mat and water bottle

*Please be mindful of your arrival time. The front door will be locked 5 minutes after class begins.

I have been practicing yoga for 20+ years and have been teaching since 2014. I completed my teacher training with Michele Loew, the founder of The Yoga Space in Portland, OR. This training was influenced by Ashtanga Yoga as Michele has been a student of Richard Freeman for 20+ years.

For the first decade of my practice, I learned from books, VHS tapes (!), and DVDs. I’ve practiced a variety of styles over the years with various teachers. I’ve enjoyed online classes with Tara Judelle, Annie Carpenter, Kia Miller, Elena Brower, and Tiffany Cruikshank. The decade of practicing Inner Body Yoga with Todd Jackson has been the most influential. This style of yoga, developed by Donald Moyer, is similar to Iyengar yoga. In this approach, we place our attention on our inner body, both the physical and energetic aspects, and stay present with the sensations as we fortify and strengthen some aspects of the pose while relaxing and finding ease in other elements of the postures.
